Why this matters
For most companies, the large majority of their climate impact isn't in their own offices or factories — it's in their value chain: the goods and services they buy. These are Scope 3 emissions, and they are usually far bigger than a company's direct emissions.
You can't reduce what you can't see. When suppliers measure and share real data, an entire supply chain stops guessing and starts cutting emissions where it actually counts.
What's being asked of you
It's deliberately simple — no carbon-accounting expertise required:
- Invite — a buyer invites their suppliers with a single link.
- Answer — suppliers share the activity data they already have (spend, energy, materials, transport).
- Calculate — the platform computes emissions using the GHG Protocol, at the most accurate tier your data allows.
- Improve — everyone gets clear next steps and funding options to cut emissions over time.
The commitment you're making
Measuring is the start. The goal is a credible path to a climate-safe supply chain — and there are two honest destinations:
Net Zero (SBTi)
Cut emissions deeply — typically 90%+ — in line with science, then neutralise only the small unavoidable remainder. The most credible destination.
Carbon Neutral
Reduce what you can now and balance the rest with credible carbon credits. A meaningful step on the way to Net Zero.
Your role in this
You are not filling in a form. You are putting a number on something the planet has been paying for silently — and giving your whole industry permission to do the same.
If you're a buyer
- You lead the change your industry follows.
- Every supplier you bring in makes the next reduction possible — and measurable.
If you're a supplier
- Your honest data is the foundation everything is built on.
- Sharing it makes you the partner buyers want to keep — and a link that strengthens the chain.
